Dispute over a pigeon leads to assault, 7 booked
Ferozepur, March 26, 2023: In a unique case of dispute, perhaps for the first time heard in this area, when a minor dispute over flying pigeons turned ugly and 7 persons along with 4-5 unidentified persons have been booked in a dispute over a pigeon landing on the neighbour’s roof leaving one badly injured.
As per the information, the sons of complainant Ajit Singh of Ferozepur namelhy Nishan and Gurpinder had kept pigeons in their home. On March 22, the accused Akash visited the house of the complainant saying that his pigeon had flown and landed on his roof and I have come to collect it. On this, Nishan, son of the complainant, said, no pigeon has come to our side. On this both had a dispute and after about half an hour, certain people planned and attacked on Nishan and injured him. He was, however, admitted in the hospital.
Meanwhile, a case against 7 persons – Akash, Yuvrajl Dharma, Chnna, Mithun Ramu, Sunil and 4-5 unidentified persons have been booked on the complaint of Ajt Singh under Sections 452, 323, 148 and 149 IPC and further investigations are on with Sukhchain Singh, SI appointed as IO in this case.However, no arrest has been made so far.
