Youth dies due to drug overdose

Ferozepur, April 29, 2022: Drugs are on the rise in Punjab, the land of five rivers and everyday youths are falling prey to drugs.  Today, a young boy, aged 28, died after being injected with an overdose at Akku Wala village under Arif K police station.  The deceased has been identified as NirmalSingh.

As per information, Nirmal Singh, son of Santokh Singh Tenni (28) of Akuwala village, returned after being free from a straw-making machine today and went to the fields where he injected drugs and fell into a water hole.  Due to this, he died and police reached the spot. The body was taken into custody for post-mortem.  However, further investigations are on.
