Ferozepur, September 2, 2022: In a synchronized manner, the Ferozepur police organised a meeting with various religious and spiritual leaders of the area, in a very cordial manner, which was presided over by DIG to brief them to maintain communal harmony.
DIG Baljot Singh Rathore said, under directions of Gaurav Yadav, DGP Punjab we are holding the meetings with the religious heads to convey the message of peace and maintain law and order and also to check the CCTVs cameras installed are working or not and keep them 24×7 on so that it could helpl to avoid and trace any suspicious incident by the mischievous elements. He also reviewed the security arrangements with the officers of all the outposts.
In all 20 check points were put up, where 624 vehicles were checked and 30 vehicles were challaned.
SSP, Surendra Lamba said, during the meeting, the members of various religious heads appreciated the cooperation being extended to Ferozepur police in maintaining communal harmony, which led to no untoward communal incidents reported in the jurisdiction.
We also appeal to all also to give their support in the security arrangements so that we may also provide them the facility and our services, to strengthen to maintain the religious harmony atmosphere of the state and country.
He said apart from this, we have also made arrangements to check the CCTV cameras at the religious places and in this context; DIG will visit the various places also to review the security arrangements at the ground level.
