Voluntary screening with mild symptoms can prevent spread of Coronavirus: Dr.Rajinder Raj, Civil Surgeon
Ferozepur, May 6, 2021: Voluntary early stage screening with mild symptoms can prevent spread of Coronavirus, said Dr.Rajinder Raj, Civil Surgeon.
In her health message, Dr.Raj elaborating further said, if patients with mild symptoms of COVID-19 including mild sore throat, body aches and mild fever, should undergo test at an early stage and in case of positive test, they can prevent the spread of corona infection to their family members and those in close contacts, by isolating themselves in a timely manner.
She said that the Covid tests are done free of cost at the Civil Hospitals and Community Health Centers of the district. Patients are also shifted to hospitals as and when required during monitoring of patients.
Making an appeal to the residents of the district, she said, persons with initial stage symptoms must come forward for Covid tests and also eligible persons get vaccinated which is the most effective weapon against the Covid pandemic besides taking three precautions – wearing proper mask, keeping a distance of two yards and washing hands with soap and water from time to time. Only by following the guidelines, we can stop further spread of Coronavirus.
