Motorcycle Thief Arrested Within 4 Days by GRP Ferozepur; Stolen Vehicles Recovered

Ferozepur, April 24, 2026: Acting on the directions of the Special DGP Railways, Patiala, and under the supervision of the DSP (GRP) Ferozepur, the Government Railway Police (GRP) Ferozepur achieved a significant breakthrough by arresting a motorcycle thief within four days of the incident and recovering the stolen vehicle.

According to official information, FIR No. 09 dated April 18, 2026, was registered under Sections 303(2) and 317(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Police Station GRP Ferozepur. The complaint was lodged by Monish, son of Ashok Kumar, a resident of Ferozepur, whose motorcycle bearing registration number PB 05 AD 6436 was stolen from Ferozepur Cantt Railway Station.

The investigation was conducted by ASI Surjit Singh of GRP Ferozepur, who launched a search operation to trace both the accused and the stolen vehicle. On April 23, 2026, the police successfully apprehended the आरोपी along with the stolen motorcycle.

The accused has been identified as Balwinder Singh, son of Amar Singh, a resident of Dulo Ke Nathuwala village in Fazilka district. During police remand, the आरोपी also confessed to stealing another motorcycle—a Hero Honda Splendor Plus (without registration number)—from Fazilka. The second stolen vehicle has also been recovered.

Further investigation in the case is ongoing.

Inspector Naveen Kumar, SHO GRP Ferozepur, confirmed the development and stated that strict action is being taken against theft incidents in railway areas.

ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ, 24 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ 2026: ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਡੀ ਜੀ ਪੀ ਰੇਲਵੇ (ਪਟਿਆਲਾ) ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਡੀ ਐਸ ਪੀ (ਜੀ ਆਰ ਪੀ) ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਹੇਠ ਥਾਣਾ ਜੀ ਆਰ ਪੀ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲ ਚੋਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 4 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਚੋਰੀਸ਼ੁਦਾ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲ ਵੀ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।

ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਮੁਕੱਦਮਾ ਨੰਬਰ 09 ਮਿਤੀ 18-04-2026 ਅਧੀਨ ਧਾਰਾ 303(2) ਅਤੇ 317(2) ਭਾਰਤੀ ਨਿਆਂ ਸਹਿਤਾ ਤਹਿਤ ਥਾਣਾ ਜੀ ਆਰ ਪੀ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਮੋਨਿਸ਼ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਸ਼ੋਕ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਵਾਸੀ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲ ਨੰਬਰ PB 05 AD 6436 ਰੇਲਵੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਕੈਂਟ ਤੋਂ ਚੋਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਏ ਐਸ ਆਈ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਚੋਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ ਲਈ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ। 23 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ 2026 ਨੂੰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਨੂੰ ਚੋਰੀਸ਼ੁਦਾ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।

ਕਾਬੂ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਬਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਮਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਦੂਲੋਂ ਕੇ ਨੱਥੂਵਾਲਾ, ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਫਾਜ਼ਿਲਕਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲ—ਹੀਰੋ ਹੋਂਡਾ ਸਪਲੈਂਡਰ ਪਲੱਸ (ਬਿਨਾਂ ਨੰਬਰ)—ਚੋਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਕਬੂਲੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਫਾਜ਼ਿਲਕਾ ਤੋਂ ਚੋਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲ ਵੀ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
