BSF neutralises Pak Drone, recovers ammunition, heroin near Indo-Pak border
Ferozepur, December 3, 2022: On the intervening night of December 2 and 3, Border Security Force troops deployed at border heard buzzing sound of suspected flying object / drone entering from Pakistan into Indian Territory in the area falling near Village – Churiwala Chusti, District – Fazilka. As per set drill, the troops tried to intercept the suspected flying object by firing. The whole area was cordoned and Police and concerned sister agencies were informed.
Further, BSF troops chased the sound of the Drone and reached in an agricultural field near Vill – Churiwala Chusti, where BSF troops again fired in the direction of Drone. Meanwhile, they observed the movement of 3-4 suspected persons in the nearby area. In a prompt action troops challenged them and fired towards the direction of suspected movement of miscreants. However, they managed to flee away from the spot.
Further, during search, BSF party recovered 10 big size packets wrapped with yellow adhesive tape. On opening these three packets, the contraband items were recovered, suspected Heroin – 10 Packets (Gross wt – appx 26.850 kgs), one Pistol, two Magazines and ammunition of 9 mm rounds.
Alert troops of BSF once again foiled the nefarious attempt of anti-national element to smuggle contraband.
