Drone, heroin, pistol seized in coordinated BSF Ops along Punjab Border
Ferozepur, May 14, 2025: Today, acting on information from the BSF intelligence wing, recovery of a Pistol, a drone and a packet of heroin was made by the BSF troops in three different incidents along the Punjab border.
At about 08:15 am, a search by the BSF troops led to the recovery of one pistol along with one Magazine from a harvested field adjacent to the village- Mahawa in the Amritsar district. The pistol and magazine were wrapped with yellow adhesive tape, and two illuminating strips were also found attached to it.
In another incident, a search operation based on a specific input culminated in the recovery of one Packet of suspected heroin (Gross weight- 557 Grams) at about 10:55 am from a field adjacent to the village, Habib Wala district of Ferozepur.
Later in the day, at about 11:20 am, BSF troops successfully recovered one DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone from a harvested field adjacent to village- Metla of district Gurdaspur.
Reliable input of the BSF intelligence wing and Swift action of the BSF troops successfully foiled the smuggling attempt of arms and narcotics through a drone from across the border, said the PRP Punjab Frontier, BSF.
