Two booked for duping Ferozepur resident of Rs 27 lakh in Punjab Police job scam
Ferozepur, October 14, 2024: In a recent development, Mukhtiar Singh from Sadardin Wala, Ferozepur, and Ranjit Singh from Jalandhar have been booked for allegedly defrauding Surinder Singh, a resident of Machhiwala village in Ferozepur, in a Punjab Police recruitment scam. The accused are reported to have taken ₹27 lakh from Surinder Singh, promising him a job in the police force.
The case was registered at the Ferozepur Cantt police station under Sections 420, 465, 467, 471, and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The accused allegedly conspired together to dupe the complainant. No arrests have been made so far, and the investigation is currently being led by Investigating Officer Raman Kumar.
