Christian Community to hold 34th Shan-e-Masih Shoba Yatra on December 21
Ferozepur, December 12, 2023: Every year, December 25 is celebrated as birthday of Jesus Masih not only in Punjab but throughout the world. In a joint meeting held today, it was decided to hold 34th Shan-e-Masih Shoba Yatra on December 21 with cooperation of each other with great pump and show.
The birth of Jesus is celebrated annually on 25 December as Christmas. His crucifixion is honored on Good Friday and his resurrection on Easter Sunday. The world’s most widely used calendar era—in which the current year is AD 2023 (or 2023 CE)—is based on the approximate birthdate of Jesus.
Giving this information, Vijay Goria, Chairman Samson Brigade and others said, an invitation was also extended to SSP Deepak Hillori to join the event besides asking for the security arrangements for peaceful conduct of Shobha Yatra.
