Mesmerizing performance at Surmai Shaam held at VWS
Ferozepur, November 25, 2023: The enchanting ‘Surmai Shaam’ – musical evening, hosted by Vivekananda World School (VWS) captivated the audience with mesmerizing performances.
Ranjit Singh Dhillon, DIG, Ferozpur, Rajesh Dhiman, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozpur, Lakhbir Singh, AIG, Counter Intelligence, Ferozepur, Varinder Mohan Singhal, CA and Chairman, Genesis Institute of Dental Science and Research and the presence of Colonel Anuj Antal, ADM commandant Golden Arrow, Ferozepur, added colours to the celebrations.
Director VWS Dr. S.N. Rudra, said that in the melodious evening event Mohit (flautist), Mannat (singer), Dr. Arashpreet Singh (rhythm) (singer), Kamal Dravid (singer), Chaand Bajaj (singer), Lankesh Kamal (Tabla player) and Master Kuvi (guitarist) displayed their art and captured the hearts of the audience.
The audience from different sections of society enjoyed the musical evening in the program organized under the chairmanship of Dr. Kamaljit Singh, Head of the Music Department of Punjabi University.
Dr. Rhythm, a famous ghazal singer and a special visitor from Punjabi University, Patiala, forced the listeners to dance in their hearts with his ghazal singing. At the beginning of the program, Monisha Bajaj, wife Brigadier Pawan Bajaj (Sub-Inspector Border Security Force, Ferozpur) and Jyoti Mouli, wife Brigadier Surinder Mouli and chief patron of Vivekananda World School Prabha Bhaskar, Meenakshi Mittal, Joint Chairman, Genesis Institute of Dental Science and Research and Navita Singhal, Director Rakha Foundation performed the lamp lighting ceremony to formally commence the melodious evening.
