BSF-Punjab Police in ‘Joint Search Operation’ recover 1.630 kg heroin in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, October 28, 2023:  On Friday, during night hours, BSF intercepted the movement of a suspected drone near Village – Gatti Mattar, District – Ferozepur. As per the laid down drill, BSF troops immediately reacted to intercept the drone.

Further on Saturday, a ‘Joint search Operation’ with the Punjab Police was carried – out. During the search, at about 11:30 am, troops recovered two packets of contraband items suspected to be Heroin (Gross wt – 1.630 Kg) wrapped with yellow adhesive tape, from the farming field adjacent to Village – Gatti Mattar, District – Ferozepur.

Yet another attempt of smugglers to smuggle narcotics through drones was foiled by BSF and Punjab Police.
