Encounter between wanted criminal in 17 cases and police in Ferozepur, one held, two escaped
Ferozepur, October 10, 2023: During the operation against anti-social elements, an encounter reported to have been between wanted criminal and police in Ferozepur near Canal Colony today. In the firing incident one accused was injured while his two accomplices escaped from the scene. As soon as the encounter came to light, the top police officers reached the scene of the incident.
The police sources said, the motorbike youths intercepted with the police near the Canal Colony when the criminal Daler Singh Daleri wanted in many cases fired on the CIA police and in return firing, he was injured and has been admitted in the hospital. While his accomplice managed to escape. it is also said that several bullets were fired at the police vehicle, but the police personnel escaped unhurt.
In view of recent ear-rings, the snatching case of Gurmej Kaur of village Aaalewala and loot cases in the city, the CIA staff has been deputed to keep an eye on the anti-social elements and nab the wanted criminals. Daler Singh alias Daleri was booked under Section 379-B of IPC when complainant Gurmej Kaur had gone to attend the school parents meeting with her son. On coming back, one youth on motorcycle with masked faces hit her and snatched the ear-rings and recognized when the face covered with cloth fell down as Daler Singh alias Daleri.
Further, as per the inputs of the police, Daler Singh alias Daleri was s/o Malook Singh r/o Village Khai Pheme Ki PS Sadar Ferozepur was also accused in at Fatehabad (Haryana), Mansa, Ferozepur Cantt, Budhlada (Mansa), Faridkot, Makhu, Islamabad(Amritsar0 under various Sections of IPC and Arms Act and wanted in 17 criminal cases registered against him.
