BSF, Police in joint opt seize 2.8 kg heroin in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, August 16, 2023: On Wednesday, during morning hours, on specific information, a joint search operation was launched by BSF and Punjab Police on the outskirts of Village – Machiwara, Distt – Ferozepur.
Further, during search at about, troops recovered 03 packets of narcotics suspected to be Heroin (Net wt – appx 2.8 Kg), from the paddy fields near a Neem tree. The consignment was kept inside a plastic bag, a ring type hook and four red illumination sticks were also attached with it.
Yet another nefarious attempt of smugglers foiled by the joint efforts of BSF & Punjab Police.
