Dev Samaj College for Women Ferozepur gets top position with NAAC A+ Grade
Ferozepur, June 25, 2023: A local Dev Samaj College for Women (DSCW) – premier educational institution of this border town for girls, established when the education to female was not considered as priority – got top position from National Assessment and Accreditation Council – NAAC A+ Grade.
National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is a government organisation in India that assesses and accredits Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). It is an autonomous body funded by the University Grants Commission and headquartered in Bangalore. NAAC was established in 1994 in response to recommendations of National Policy in Education 1986. This policy was to address the issues of deterioration in quality of education, and the Programme of Action (POA-1992) laid out strategic plans for the policies including the establishment of an independent national accreditation body. Consequently, the NAAC was established in 1994 with its headquarters at Bengaluru.
DSCW continued to maintain its earlier status of this grade as sometime back a team had visited the institution for inspection. Now, DSCW has come among the top colleges of the country A+ grade.
This achievement has not made proud only the management under the dynamic and outstanding qualitative leadership of Shriman Nirmal Singh Dhillon, Secretary, Dev Samaj and President DSCW, Dr. Agneesh Dhillon, Secretary and Dr.Sangeeta, Principal and citizens but all for whole of Punjab, due to excellent result of the students because of dedication of entire teaching and non-teaching staff, who played an important role in this event.
