ON WORLD MILK DAY : Verka organizes Milk Awareness Camp in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, June 1, 2023: In order to spread the message of the importance of milk on the occasion of World Milk Day, a milk awareness camp was organized at Das & Brown World School as a part of week-long celebrations in the Punjab, in which the students were given detailed information about the importance of milk.
Welcoming the Verka team members, Manjit Singh, Director (Admn.) DBS said, World Milk Day is an international day established by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations to recognize the importance of milk as a global food. It has been observed on June 1 each year since 2001. The day is intended to provide an opportunity to bring attention to activities that are connected with the dairy sector.
General Manager of Verka, Vikramjit Singh said that before celebrating World Milk Day on June 1, the department is spreading awareness about the importance of milk in schools. During this week, camps are being organized in seven schools to inform children about Verka.
Gurlal Singh , Assistant Manager (Procurement), Verka shared with the students of IV to VIII class that milk has an important place in the nutrition of the child and Verka provides good quality milk to its customers. He said that Verka is Punjab’s number one milk brand, which is providing pure milk to Punjabis. While Dev Simran Assistant Manager (Quality) told about storage of milk, as to how products are made from milk through machines and with purity before marketing to its customer.
