The protesters also appealed to the local elected MLA Naresh Kataria to raise the issue of closure of the Liquor Factory at Zira in the Assembly session. They also demanded the cancellation of police cases registered against the farmers during the protest and release of attached land.
Earlier, Chief Minister, Punjab through Tweet has announced the closure of the factory but no formal notification has so far been issued and the protesters are still sitting on dharna at Zira.
