Under ‘Ek Tareekh-Ek Ghanta’, BSF jawans hand-in-hand with citizens for Swachhata Hi Sewa

Ferozepur, October 1, 2023: Under the “Swachhata hi Sewa” Mission, the important flagship programme of the GoI, initiated by Narendra Modi,  Prime Minister to fulfill the dream of Mahatma Gandhi to make a clean and hygienic India, Border Security Force, Sector Headquarter Ferozepur as well as all under command units are actively conducting various events such as cleanliness drives, awareness programmes, rallies etc., to educate the citizens about the connection between a clean environment and good community health.

As a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the eve of his birth anniversary, on 1st Oct’2023 from 10 AM onwards, BSF Sector Headquarter under the leadership of Brig Pawan Bajaj (Retd) Deputy Inspector General, BSF Punjab, organized “Ek Tareekh – Ek Ghanta” campaign at Railway Station Ferozepur, Railway Station Khemkaran and surrounding areas of various Bus Stands under District Ferozepur Punjab.

The programme commenced with the cleaning of the Railway Station/ surroundings, disposal of garbage and motivating civilians to adopt cleanliness and hygienic practices in their homes, schools and surroundings. All these activities were planned and executed under the guidance of Brig Pawan Bajaj (Retd), Deputy Inspector General, BSF Ferozepur.

Similarly, all field formations (Units and BOPs) under Sector Headquarter Ferozepur conducted cleanliness drives in their surrounding villages, schools and prominent places.

The objective of these campaigns is to generate citizen participation in making our surroundings clean, maintaining cleanliness and proper disposal of waste resulting in making a clean India with good environment and health for the citizens.Under 'Ek Tareekh-Ek Ghanta', BSF jawans hand-in-hand with citizens for Swachhata Hi Sewa
