MLA Dahiya’s counsel issues defamation notice to 4 persons for Rs.5 cr compensation

Ferozepur, April 30, 2024:  The counsel of MLA Advocate Rajneesh Kumar Dahiya, MLA Ferozepur Rural has issued 30 days’ Legal Notices to four persons, to avail civil and criminal remedies in the court of competent jurisdiction for Rs.5 cr compensation.

Counsel for MLA Dahiya, Vikaramadiya Madahar Advocate and Arsheep Singh Randhawa Advocate District Courts, Ferozepur in their legal notices to four farmers – Gurmeet Singh Ghore Chak, District President Bharti Kissan Union,  Sidhupur, Gursewak Singh Dhaliwal, Block President, Mamdot Bharti Kissan Union, Ranjit Singh Dhillon, Press Secretary, Bharti Kissan Union and Balwinder Singh, Member of Bharti Kissan Union, Sidhupur – for paying the compensation/damages for the amount of Rs.5 cr for damaging the respect and reputation of our client.

Dahiya’s counsel said that these farmer’s outfit members had made many allegations against Ferozepur Rural MLA Rajneesh Dahiya.  The allegations are for not allowing the harvest of the crop that they have owned for the last 30-40 years by the district administration under the pressure of MLA. It is also stated that they have 70 affidavits; videos as well and recordings vide which MLA is involved in passing and receiving money in lacs. Another charge is to make a statement in Punjab Vidhan Sabha that the land be snatched from the farmers.  Besides, demanding money from the transporters and commission agents.

Both the counsel said the image of MLA Rajneesh Dahiya is being deliberately spoiled by these persons, due to which a legal notice of Rs.5 crores was sent for defamation.  Further,  if any amount by penalty is taken from the farmers, the same will be given to the farmer’s families who sacrificed their lives during the protest so that no one may tarnish the image of anyone.

As per the legal notices, if no reply is received within 30 days or up to June 20, 2024, my client (MLA Dahiya) will have no other option except to avail civil and criminal remedies against all the members, said Dahiya’s counsel.
