CI nabs one smuggler with 505 gm heroin, Rs.8.90 lac drug money

Ferozepur, November 18, 2023:   The on-going drive against drugs launched on the directions of SPL, DGP, Internal Security Punjab and ADGP Counter Intelligence Punjab, Counter Intelligence Ferozepur dealt a major blow to the smuggling network of Heroin after recovering 505 Gram heroin, Rs.8,90,000 Drug Money and arrested one Indian smuggler, said AIG Counter Intelligence Ferozepur Lakhbir Singh here on Saturday.

AIG Counter Intelligence Ferozepur said that on October 17, acting upon secret information, Counter Intelligence Ferozepur (CI Moga) launched a special secret operation and the raid was conducted at the house of one Avtar Singh and Avtar Singh was nabbed by CI Ferozepur. During the search of his house, 505 grams of Heroin and Rs.8,90,000 drug money have been recovered from his house. Smuggler has been identified as Avtar Singh son of  Mahinder Singh, of  Moga. Meanwhile, FIR has been registered under section 21 of the NDPS Act, at Police Station SSOC Fazilka and further investigation is going on.
