BSF apprehends one Indian National with 2 kg heroin

Ferozepur, December 7, 2019: On 07 Dec 2019, alert Border Security Force troops apprehended 01 Indian National along with 02 packets of contraband (Weight Approx- 2 kgs) suspected to be heroin in the area of responsibility of Sector Abohar.

On 07 Dec 2019 alert Border Security Force troops apprehended one Indian National namely Mangal Singh (Age-approx-23 Yrs) s/o Harbansh Singh r/o Teja Rohial, Fazilka along with 02 packets of contraband suspected to be heroin (Total weight approx. 2 Kgs), which were concealed in a cavity build inside a wooden log.

The enhanced vigil of BSF has once again thwarted the attempt of Anti-National Elements to push the consignment of contraband items into India. During the year 2019, BSF has affected under mentioned seizures on Punjab Border Heroin : 212.202 Kgs (including today’s seizure of approx. 2 Kgs) Opium : 1.094 Kgs Indian border crosser apprehended : 79 Nos Indian smugglers apprehended : 11 Nos (including today’s Apprehension) Weapons (Different Types) : 11 Nos Ammunition (Various Calibers) : 458 Rds Indian SIM Cards : 18 Nos PAK SIM Cards : 21 Nos Indian Mobile Phone : 18 Nos
