AK-56 rifle, ammunition recovered from border village in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, September 28, 2022:  Just 5 km from the international border of India and Pakistan, a drone was spotted coming from Pakistan by BSF jawans and reportedly, rifle and ammunition were dropped on the Indian side.

Farmer, Darbara Singh of Arif Ke noticed rifle and ammunition when went to spray pesticide in his field, who informed the police who confiscated the weapon and ammunition – AK56 assault rifle and two magazines besides 60 cartridges, found in the fields.  A-1 is written on the packet found and it is presumed that there might be more such packets with different numbers. However  the search operation is still going on around Basti Ram Lal.

The reports said, on Monday night, a drone was noticed coming from Pakistan by BSF personnel, who fired at the drone but the efforts to shoot it down remained futile.
