ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ, 15 ਜੁਲਾਈ, 2026: ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਜਨਰਲ ਆਫ਼ ਪੁਲਿਸ (ਰੇਲਵੇ), ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਐਸਪੀ ਜ਼ੋਨ, ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਹੇਠ, ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ (ਜੀਆਰਪੀ), ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਨੇ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਕੈਂਟ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਕਥਿਤ ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਫੋਨ ਚੋਰ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਚੋਰੀ ਹੋਏ ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਫੋਨ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ।

ਐਸਐਚਓ, ਜੀਆਰਪੀ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਐਲਆਰ/ਏਐਸਆਈ ਸੰਜੀਵ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਐਲਆਰ/ਏਐਸਆਈ ਵਧਾਵਾ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪੁਲਿਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ, ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਕੈਂਟ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ‘ਤੇ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਚਲਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਜਦੋਂ, ਖਾਸ ਸੂਚਨਾ ‘ਤੇ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੋਗਾ ਦੇ ਸਿਟੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਧੀਨ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਪੀਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਮੰਡੀ ਨੇੜੇ ਮਟੋਡਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਵੇਹਰਾ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅੰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਉਰਫ਼ ਅੰਸ਼ੂ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਚੀਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।

ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ‘ਤੇ ਰੇਲਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਫੋਨ ਚੋਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਹੈ। ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਚੋਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਫੋਨ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ।

ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਜੀਆਰਪੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ, ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਐਫਆਈਆਰ ਨੰਬਰ 15 ਮਿਤੀ 15 ਜੁਲਾਈ, 2026 ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਨਿਆਏ ਸੰਹਿਤਾ (ਬੀਐਨਐਸ), 2023 ਦੀ ਧਾਰਾ 303(2) ਅਤੇ 317(2) ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ।

Mobile Phone Thief Arrested at Ferozepur Cantt Railway Station, Three Stolen Phones Recovered

Ferozepur, July 15, 2026: Acting on the directions of the Director General of Police (Railways), Punjab, and under the supervision of the DSP Zone, Ferozepur, the Government Railway Police (GRP), Ferozepur, arrested an alleged mobile phone thief from Ferozepur Cantt Railway Station and recovered three stolen mobile phones from his possession.

According to the SHO, GRP Ferozepur, LR/ASI Sanjeev Kumar and LR/ASI Wadhawa Singh, along with the police party, were conducting a checking operation at Ferozepur Cantt Railway Station when, acting on specific information, they apprehended Anshdeep alias Anshu, son of Cheena, a resident of Matoda Wala Vehra, near Peeran Wali Mandi, under City Police Station, Moga.

The accused is alleged to have been involved in stealing mobile phones from passengers travelling in trains. During the operation, the police recovered three stolen mobile phones from his possession.

A case has been registered against the accused at GRP Police Station, Ferozepur, vide FIR No. 15 dated July 15, 2026, under Sections 303(2) and 317(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.

Further investigation is in progress, police said.
