MLA Rajneesh Dahiya and DC kickstarts wheat procurement at Talwandi Bhai
Ferozepur 6 April, 2022 : MLA Ferozepur Rural, Rajneesh Dahiya today started government procurement of wheat at grain market Talwandi Bhai. On this occasion, he was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan was also present.
MLA Rajneesh Dahiya said that Punjab government has issued strict instructions for smooth procurement, lifting and timely payment of wheat in the entire state. He said that transportation and labor arrangements have been made for the transportation of wheat procured by the Food and Civil Supplies Department and there would be no shortage of bags in the grain mandis of the district.
Deputy Commissioner Girish Dyalan said that all the arrangements for the procurement of the crop in mandis have been completed. He said that the duties of various officers and employees have also been specially assigned in the mandis of the district to ensure that all the arrangements including cleaning, drinking water, shade and lifting were completed in the procurement centers.
He said that all concerned department heads have been specially instructed to solve the problems faced by the farmers in advance so that no problem would arise on the spot. Deputy Commissioner appealed to the farmers of the district to bring dry crops of wheat into the mandis so that they would not face any problems while lifting.
On this occasion, DFSC Apart from Vandana Kamboj, Chairman Market Committee Gurdeep Singh Gill, Secretary Market Committee Meena Rani besides officials of various procurement agencies, brokers, and farmers were also present.
