Vigilance deptt summons former Congress MLA Satkar Kaur, now in BJP in disproportionate assets case

Ferozepur, March 14, 2033: On Monday, the Vigilance Bureau (VB) grilled former Congress MLA (Rural) Satkar Kaur – who later joined the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), for about 4 hrs in its office, in disproportionate assets case

Satkar Kaur (44), remained a Congress MLA (Ferozepur Rural) in 2017 and later joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2022 after Congress denied her the ticket.

After joining the VB team, Satkar Kaur said, I have joined the investigation and there is nothing illegal. We have not added any more in our property. But such allegations are levelled with the change of the government and it is politically motivated. I have faith in the legal system and nothing to fear.

DSP Kewal Krishan said, we have called former MLA for question in a complaint received by the Vigilance deptt but cannot divulge with any information in detail.

Former MLA might be called again if need arises, sources said.
