Two mobiles recovered from gangster prisoners
Ferozepur, November 2, 2020: On the consecutive second day, two mobiles have been recovered from the gangster prisoners at Central Jail during the search operation.
On the complaint of Sawan Singh Assistant Supdt. Central Jail, a case has been registered under Section 52-A Prisons Act against Akul Kumar alias Khatri of Mehta in Amritsar and Kulpreet Singh alias Neeta Deol of SBS Nagar, Moga.
Divulging the details, Assistant Superintendent said, during the search operation, two mobiles were recovered from gangster prisoners of Tambo and Samsum along with SIM Cards.
Recovery of mobiles and other banned material has been a regular feature with the vigil of the jail staff. Jagir Singh has been appointed as IO in this case, and further investigations are on with special focus on smuggling in of mobile, its usage and contacts with a specific intention.
