Punjab Governor to visit Ferozepur in first week of June : DC
Ferozepur, May 18, 2023: To take stock of the preparations for the visit of Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit in Ferozepur, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman, Police, BSF had a special meeting with the army officials at the district administrative complex.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner discussed with the Police, Army, BSF and other concerned departments about security and other necessary arrangements and gave necessary instructions. He asked all the officials to perform their duties with full responsibility and diligence on the arrival of Governor Banwari Lal Purohit.
Deputy Commissioner said that Governor Banwari Lal Purohit is coming on a visit to the border areas at Ferozepur in the first week of June where he will hold a meeting with the Sarpanches, Panchayats of the border area. Apart from this, the Governor will also hold a meeting with officials of Punjab Police, BSF, Army and security agencies.
On this occasion SSP Bhupinder Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen) Ravinder Singh, Assistant Commissioner Suraj Kumar, District Revenue Officer Arvind Prakash Verma, Supdt. (Jail) Gurnam Lal, SP (H) Sohan Lal Soni, Tehsildar Ferozepur Sukhbir Kaur besides army and BSF officials were present.
