Two drug smugglers held with heroin in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, February 11, 2024: Under the campaign against the drug smugglers going on in the district, the Ferozepur police arrested one smuggler with one kg of heroin.
Divulging with details, Somiya Mishra, SSP said, “In a joint operation with the BSF, the police team headed by Randhir Kumar, SP(I), along with Atul Saini, DSP Guruharsahai and Balkar Sing, DSP(I), and Insp Gurjant Singh, Sukhchain Singh and Mangal Singh of Changa Rai Hitar was nabbed, with 500 gm heroin each from both, which was kept hidden in the field village Baje Ke near Indo-Pak border, at the designated place, near Chibbe Wala canal, on working swiftly on the in-puts, who had links with Pakistan smugglers. Both used to get consignment from Pakistan smugglers and were doing the business of supplying to their customers.
She further said that one of the accused Mangal Singh is already facing a criminal case under the NDPS Act registered at Fazilka in June 2020.
