Rs.12 crore heroin recovered in joint operation by BSF and STF

Ferozepur, May 11, 2017:  The Border Security Force (BSF) and Special Task Force (STF) in a joint operation carried out in the area operation of DT Mal had recovered three packets suspected to be heroin.

As per the information, first seizure was of 2 packets weighing approximately 2 kg in the alignment of BP No195/M in the field of Tehal Singh resident of Moboke having distance of 2300 meters from DT Mal post and Warish Alil Shaheed EX02 Wing SR at 2300 meters.

The second seizure of 500 gms suspected to be heroin was found earn Bumbi of Karnail Singh resident of Rela Hazi in the alignment of BP No.195/4 having distance of 2100 meters from DT Mal and 1500 meter from Pak Post Warish Ali Shaheed Ex-02 Wing SR.

The joint operation was carried out by 2 BSF officers including DC(G) Ferozeur along with 6 others and Balkar Singh sidhi, IG STF along with two officers.

All the seized items were handed over to STF Ferozepur on proper receipt, sources said. The value of the seized heroin reported to be around Rs.12 crore in the international market.
