Ferozepur: Thieves drill into bank, decamp with Rs.25.71 lakh in cash
Ferozepur, October 22, 2021: Thieves drilled their way into a bank at Axis Branch at Hakumat Singh Wala breaking the outer wall and decamped with cash worth Rs.25,71,250.
Surinder Kaur, Axis Bank Manager, Hakumat Singh Wala has got registered a case with the police station Ghall Khurd under Sections 380/457/427 IPC.
As per the information, on the night of 20-21 October 22, 2021, the theft occurred at Axis Bank located at village level branch having a building covered with agriculture fields. The CCT V cameras installed inside the bank were cut off and the identifies or even the number of persons involved in the crime are not known yet. The bank locks were intact in the morning.
The police investigations are on. The bank had already written to the authorities for the posting of a security guard. However, as per the bank record, the thieves have decamped with Rs.25,71,250 in cash by breaking open the safe with the cutter from the top said the police official.
