Darshan Didar Yatra enters Ferozepur district amidst sea of devotees

Dharmik Darshan Yatra reaches Ferozepur

 Ferozepur,  May, 2015 : The Darshan Didar Yatra, a unique initiative of the Punjab Government and Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) for the darshan of the relics of three Sikh Guru&#39s today entered Ferozepur district from village Saiyan Wala side.

 

A sea of devotees from Ferozepur district welcomed the yatra and they were led by MLA Ferozepur Rural Mr Joginder Singh Jindu.  In view of rush of devotees, the yatra is moving behind the schedule but devotees kept waiting to have glimpse of relics of Sikh gurus.

 

Prominent among those present on the occasion included Deputy Commissioner Mr DPS Kharbanda, SSP Mr Hardial Singh Mann,M.P Ferozepur S. Sher Singh Gubhiya, Halqa incharge of Guru Har Sahai constituency Mr Vardev Singh Mann, chairman of Punjab Land Mortgage Bank Mr Avtar Singh Minna, SGPC members S. Darshan Singh Serkhan, S. Pritam Singh Malsian, Master Gurnam Singh, S. Satpal Singh Talwandi, S. Balwinder Singh Bhamma Landa, S. Darshan Singh Mothanwala, Nagar Council Muddki president Mr Gurmeet Singh, Cantt Board president Mr Surinder Singh Babbu, besides several prominent religious, political and social personalities of the district.

On the occasion, MLA Mr Joginder Singh Jindu appreciated the efforts of Punjab government and Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee for organising the Darshan Didar Yatra. He said that the yatra has associated youngsters with the Sikh history of bravery and dedication. He said that there was lot of enthusiasm amongst the young people regarding yatra and they were keen to have darshan of relics of Guru Sahib.

 

The yatra has been well received at several places. The yatra also passed through villages Rukna Begu, Nurpur Sethan, Patel Nagar, Rukna Mungla, Chungi No 8, BSF Chowk, Chungi No 7 besides others.

 

The yatra was started on May 6 from Sri Dukhniwaran Sahib Gurudwara in Patiala and after passing through all the districts of state will culminate at Sri Anandpur Sahib.

 

When the Yatra entered Ferozepur district, Faridkot MLA Mr Deep Malhotra, Deputy Commissioner Faridkot Mr Mohammad Tayab, Faridkot SSP Mr Charanjit Singh, Chairman S.Bachitar Singh More, S.Bhagwan Singh Sama,S.Nachhar Singh Gill, besides others.
