ACHIEVEMENTS OF BSF PUNJAB FRONTIER–2022
Border Security Force, Punjab Frontier is responsible to safeguard the 553 Kms long tough and challenging Indo Pakistan International Border of Punjab. During many challenges including inclement weather conditions and smuggling,N valiant BSF Jawans are guarding the borders round the clock with utmost dedication and unflinching spirit.
2. During the year 2022, BSF troops of Punjab Frontier have maintained extremely high level of alertness and vigil. Resultantly, BSF has successfully detected and captured 22 Drones and seized 316.988 Kgs Heroin, 67 Weapons,
850 Rounds, killed 02 Pakistan intruders and apprehended 23 Pakistan Nationals in different incidents. Displaying humanitarian approach BSF has handed over 09 Pak Nationals to Pakistan Rangers, who had inadvertently
crossed the IB.
3. On the occasion of 58 Raising Day of BSF, for the first time in the history of BSF, the ceremonial ‘BSF Raising Day Parade’ was organized in the holy city of Amritsar (Punjab) at Guru Nanak Dev University in rich traditional atmosphere. Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Nityanand Rai took salute of
this impressive parade as the Chief Guest
4. BSF being a border guarding force also looks after the populace residing in bordering areas and for their well–being, conducts various Civic Action Programs, which includes Free Medical Camps, skill development training,
Sports tournaments, Cultural activities and also puts in efforts to help the needy people of the bordering area.
5. In true spirit of “JAI JAWAN JAI KISSAN” to assist the border farmers and for speedy disposal of their problems, meetings with the farmers are being held regularly by respective Company Commanders. Commandants and DISG during which their problems are solved on the spot. It is ensured that adequate publicity before these meetings is done so that maximum farmers are able to take part in these meetings.
6. During the current year, BSF celebrated many events under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ such as Seema Prahari IOCL Marathon, BSF Marathon 2022 (2nd – edition). International Yoga Day’, BSF Janbaz Motorcycle show
organized at Jalandhar and Ludhiana, BSF Seema Bhawani Motorcycle Rally from Attari to Kewadia (Gujarat). In addition, various awareness drives such as ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ were organized at Frontier
Jalandhar and all under command Sectors and Units upto BOPs and Pension Adalat for redressal of pension related grievance for Pensioners of BSF and Rozgar Mela was organized at Frontier Jalandhar. Besides all of this, many
initiatives were taken to improve basic infrastructure at grass root level, so as to extend maximum facilities to Jawans in Punjab Frontier. In addition, keeping in view the welfare of Jawans and their family members, Family Welfare Centers are functional in each Unit where various Civil / Vocational courses are being run for families of BSF pers
7. The Border Security Force, Punjab Frontier has been protecting the International Borders of Punjab with full devotion & dedication and will continue its endeavor to safeguard the International Border of Punjab with Pakistan by maintaining active communication and coordination with all the stakeholders.
