BSF’s Major Success: 8.6 Kg Heroin Recovered on Ferozepur Border

Ferozepur, July 17, 2025: In a major breakthrough, alert troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) today recovered a significant consignment of heroin along the Ferozepur border.

During the early hours of the day, BSF personnel conducted a thorough search of a suspicious area, which led to the recovery of 15 packets of suspected heroin, with a gross weight of 8.600 kg. The recovery was made from an agricultural field near border village Bhanewala in Ferozepur district. Each packet of narcotics was wrapped in yellow adhesive tape and was equipped with an iron hook and an illuminating device.

This successful operation once again highlights the BSF’s unwavering commitment to securing the nation’s borders and the dedication of its vigilant troops in preventing cross-border smuggling attempts by notorious drug syndicates from Pakistan.
