Ferozepur, May 16, 2025: The Divisional Railway Office, Ferozepur, has announced a series of temporary changes to train operations due to Non-Interlocking (NI) work at Jandiala Station. This engineering work is part of the loop line extension project in the Sahnewal–Amritsar section. According to the official statement, these adjustments of 68 trains will be effective between June 6 and June 24, 2025.

As per the plan, the adjustments will be in effect: Train Cancellations (June 6 – June 24, 2025) – the several trains will be cancelled including Chandigarh–Amritsar, (12411/12412), Amritsar–Nangal Dam (14505/14506), Amritsar–New Delhi (14680/14679), New Delhi–Jalandhar City (14681/14682), Amritsar–Haridwar (12054/12053), Amritsar–Qadian, Beas–Tarn Taran, Bhagwanwala–Khemkaran and return services.

The rescheduled Trains will be Amritsar–Nangal Dam, Amritsar–Sealdah, Amritsar–Nanded, Amritsar–Ajmer, and Amritsar–Gorakhpur will run on altered timings on select dates.

The short-termination and short-origin trails will be – Ludhiana–Cheharrta (64551) will terminate at Tangra, New Delhi–Amritsar (12497) will terminate at Jalandhar City, Cheharrta–Ludhiana (64552) will start from Tangra, Amritsar–New Delhi (12498) will originate from Jalandhar City.d

Similarly, the train diversion will be of trains like Pathankot–Old Delhi (22430), Amritsar–New Jalpaiguri (12408), and many others including services to/from Kolkata, Saharsa, Jaynagar, and Indore will operate on diverted routes via Tarn Taran–Beas or Mukerian–Jalandhar Cantt, bypassing Amritsar in parts or routing differently to accommodate ongoing work.

However, the passengers are advised to check updated train schedules and plan their journeys accordingly said the railway communique.
