Raids under CASO operation at 80 places in Ferozepur
Punjab Police carried CASO at 82 crime and drug infected hotspots in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, February 21, 2023: On the directions of Director General of Police, Punjab, under the supervision of Sh. Rakesh Kumar Kaushal IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Punjab a Cordon
and Search Operation (CASO) led by SSP Ferozepur Smt. Kanwardeep Kaur IPS, was
conducted on 21 Feb., 2023 at 82 crime and drug infected hotspots to nab the bad
elements disturbing the social fabric of the society.
CASO was carried at 5 locations of PS City Ferozepur; 3 locations of PS Cantt.
Ferozepur; 19 locations of PS Sadar Ferozpeur; 7 locations of PS Arif Ke; 14 locations
of PS Mamdot; 4 locations of PS Kulagri; 3 locations of PS Ghallkhurd; 1 location of
PS Talwandi Bhai; 2 locations of PS Makhu; 3 locations of PS Mallanwala; 5
locations of PS Sadar Zira; 2 locations of PS City Zira; 7 locations of PS Guruharsahai
and 7 locations of PS Lakho Ke Behram.
This search operation was led by SSP Ferozepur Smt. Kanwardeep Kaur IPS, along with
09 GOs. Further 17 teams lead by SHOs/IC Units consisting 190 NGOs and 390 EPOs
were involved in this exercise. Special Nakas were deployed around these locations and
then systematic search was carried at these locations.
During CASO 235 gm Heroin, 280 Kg Lahan, 60 Bottles Illicit Liquor and 03 LCDs, 04
Gas cylinders (Theft articals) are recovered by various team and 09 accused arrested, 09
FIRs has been registered for respective recoveries. 01 Proclaimed Offender and 01
fugitive accused of NDPS Act is also arrested. Further 57 suspected vehicles were
impounded by different teams found to be without documents.
SSP FZR Smt. Kanwardeep Kaur IPS said that district police is fully prepared to eradicate
Anti-Social Elements, criminals, drug smugglers and other bad elements. People should
contact local police for any kind of help without any hesitation and share all information
about such bad elements to keep the society safe. She said that in future more such
operation.
