STF breaks drug pusher nexus, nabs jail doctor with heroin
Ferozepur, August 25, 2022: The Special Task Force team busted the racket of supply drugs inside the jail with the arrest of Dr.Shahshi Bhushan with recovery of 8 gm heroin, 14 lighters, used silver paper and half damaged Rs.10 Indian currency note.
Divulging with the details, Rajbir Singh, DSP, STF said, it was a grand success to break the nexus of supply of drugs inside the jail through racket to eradicate the drugs as per the campaign initiated by the Punjab government, in connivance with the jail inmates, under the tutelage of Sandeep Sharma, AIG, STF, Ferozepur Range.
During the preliminary investigation, it has come on the surface that Dr.Shahsi Bhushan is posted in Central Jail Hospital since November 2021 and he himself is addicted to drugs and heroin. He had been supplying the intoxicant substances through Arshdeep alias Arshi, gangster Sunny Parbhakar and Mama named inmates, inside the jail, since long, by running a big racket.
He said, a case under NDPS Act Sections 21, 22, has been registered at SAS Nagar and Dr.Shahshi Bhushan will be produced in the Court on August 26 to get police remand for further investigation. More related clues are expected to come on surface during the course of further in-depth inquiry.
