Ferozepur, February 4, 2023:  Spasht Drishti project, committed to screen the eyesight of all the students of government schools in the district, covered another two schools – at Govt Sr. Sec. School, Sandhe Hasham and Govt High School, Basti Nizamdin.  So far, around 2,000 students in 15 schools have been covered by providing spectacles to 500 students free of cost, who were diagnosed with eye-sight defects at a special programme organized for the pious purpose.

Vipul Narang, founder of Spasht Drishti said, in all 83 students have been provided free spectacles in two government schools, after checking of 425 students.  The students were also advised to have a balanced diet and do daily exercise to keep physically and mentally fit.

He said, “Poor vision is the most common impairment affecting school aged children nowadays. This project has been started keeping in view the problem of reading by the students, in the class. However, this will be a regular feature till all the government schools in the district are covered”.

Sheenam, Principal, Govt High School Basti Nizamdin thanked the launching of Spasht Drishti project especially covering the remote area schools for screening and providing free of cost specs.  This will help the students, who were feeling difficulty in reading on the black board in the class.  On this occasion, Ashok Behal, Secretary Red Cross was also present.
