Six prisoners booked under Prisons Act for creating indiscipline in Jail

Ferozepur, August 26, 2019:  On the complaint Assistant Superintendent Jails, six prisoners have been booked under Prisons Act on recovery of mobiles and SIMs and this put the jail authorities under scanner for improper security arrangements.

Narjinder Singh Amandeep Kamboj, Investigating Officers appointed in two different cases informed that cases under Section 62-A Prisons Act and 186, 353 IPC against prisoners under trial – Sunny Sharma, Akashdeep Singh, Jugfraj Singh, Balwinder Singh, Rohit and Sona Singh on account of recovery of mobile phones and SIM cards from them.

Theye said, during the checking operataion, Akashdeep prisoner  threw the mobile on the floor after swallowing the SIM and misbehaved, used abusive language and created hindrance in performance the official duties, with HeadWarder Shivraj Singh in connivance with his accomplinces Jugraj Singh Harbhnder Singh.  While two SIMs Jio and Idea from Balwinder Sngh and one Samsung Mobile from Sona Singh. 

All these have been booked for creating obstruction in Jail discipline.    However, the investigations are on, with special focus on smuggling in of the mobiles and SIMs and the motive behind it, they added.
