School Van crushed boy on cycle in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, February 18, 2016 : In a bizarre incident, a twelve years old boy identified as Vivek (12) son of Patram, a resident of Ferozepur city, was crushed by a school van today morning. The ill-fated boy, who was going along with his cousin on his bicycle, died on the spot. As per the information available, the incident took place at circular road today morning when Vivek was going to school on his bicycle along with his cousin Arun (10). As per the eyewitnesses, Vivek’s bicycle was hit by an over speed van which belong to another school. Vivek’s head was crushed by the van and he died on the spot while his cousin Arun sustained injuries. Though, the driver managed to escape from the spot he was later arrested by the police. The van of the school was also impounded by the police.

One of the teachers of Vivek while sobbing said that though Vivek belonged to a poor family, he was very good in studies.  “He had a dream to become a doctor, but sadly something else was written in his destiny”, he said.
