Police still clueless of fearless kidnappers of Sarpanch’s wife in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, December 21, 2016:  The Ferozepur police is still clueless about the kidnappers of Manjit Singh Sarpanch’s  wife kidnapped by 15 to 20 armed men from his house  on December 19 at 12.30 pm.

Briefing the media persons today in the Press Club, Ferozepur, Manjit Singh, SAD Sarpanch of village Doomniwala said his wife Surinder Kaur was forcibly taken by the armed men, who had come in three vehicles equipped with arms, 17-18 in numbers by entering the house by jumping the boundary wall of the house.

It is alleged that Manjit Singh’s son had an extra marital affair with a married women of Karaya village in Moga district and were living together in Doominiwala village.

Manjit Singh said to the media that he has already disassociated his son – Beant Singh – for all intents and purposes.

Sarabjeet Kaur who was also present in the press meet said, she was married to Beant Singh son of Joginder Singh of  village Karyala village about nine months back.  After some time, my in-laws including their daughter Rajbir Kaur and her husband, started harassing and misbehaving with me and I had to leave the house of my in-laws as I could not tolerate the atrocity on me. A case in this context is also going in the court of law.

She further stated that the son of  Manjit Singh Sarpanch has helped me, being my school time classmate and managed a rented house for me and my father.  She however, refused to disclose her present address as she is getting threatening calls from 94631-64186 to kidnap her also. The demand is also being put forth to return Sarbjeet Kaur in lieu of kidnapped wife of Sarpanch.

She boldly denied of any help from the police rather being pressurized to send me back to my in-laws to get the wife of Sarpanch released.

Police sources said, three persons had been booked by name besides a few unidentified persons but no arrest so far been made and the police has sent teams to nab the alleged accused.

Palwinder Singh DSP Sadar who is investigating into the case could not be contacted being out of range.
