Police, BSF in joint operation seize heroin, opium near Indo-Pak Zero Line

Ferozepur, June 5, 2020:  In a joint operation of police and BSF, on a tip-off, heroin and  opium was recovered from near Indo-Pak Zero line across the barbered wire.

Giving more mores, SSP Bhupinder Singh said, the police and BSF 136 Bn BOP Ulo Ke, working swiftly on a tip-off, in a joint operataion, under the campaign against the unscrupulous persons and drug smugglers, recovered 4.600 kg heroin and 50 gm opium from near zero line on the Indian side.

However, the drug smuggler Bagicha Singh of village Jhuge Magu under Mamdot police station, who has close links with the Pakistan smugglers, is yet to be arrested.  A case under NDPS Act has been registered and police is looking for the accused at the expected spots and  will be nabbed shortly.
