One held with 205 gm heroin , 56 kg heroin recovery during one year in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, March 31 2023: The police party of CIA Staff Ferozepur has arrested one accused with possession of heroin along with a motor cycle, following the anti-drug campaign in the district under tutelage of SSP Bhupinder Singh Sidhu.
SP Randhir Kumar said, an FIR under NDPS Act has been registered at Ferozepur Cantt police station with the arrest of one alleged accused namely Davinder Singh son of Avtar Singh of village Waghe Wala on recovery of 205 gm of heroin from his possession along with a motorcycle.
He said, the police has major achievement during the one year with seizure of 56 kg heroin in the last one year.
SP further said, from March 2022 to March 2-23, 907 cases under NDPS Act were registered and 1121 accused were arrested. So far recover is concerned, 56.532 kg heroin, 2012.040 kg poppy husk, 30.838 kg opium, 3 gm smack, 4.450 kg Ganja, 2,01,567 tablets, 6.395 kg intoxicant powder, Rs.45,23,236 as drug money besides recovery of 7 pistols, 5 magazines and 52 cartridges.
