Mayank Foundation joins hands with nation- wide virtual fitness event dedicated to Shaheed Bhagat Singh
Ferozepur, September 15, 2020: To boost participation of the residents of the border district, the city- based Mayank Foundation has joined hands with the two-day virtual fitness event dedicated to Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
The sporting event will be organised across India from September 27 and 28. The cyclists, athletes and yoga enthusiasts will be participating from their own place, and will be sharing the photos or videos at this virtual platform.
Deepak Sharma Founder, Mayank Foundation told that in making the event a success, the organizers Colonel Sharpshooterz with Team Teevra and Everest Sports and Mayank Foundation, Sports Craft, CQC, NFCI Global and Fast & Up, APS Beas, DPS Jalandhar have joined hands as Event Partners.
Cycling Icon Sohan Singh Sodhi of Hussainiwala Riders said that sports enthusiasts of the border district are looking forward to participate in the event dedicated to Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
The residents of Ferozepur will give a befitting homage to the hero of the land Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
Giving details about the various sporting events, Colonel Jasdeep Singh Nagpal said that running events will include basic running for 2 to 5 km and advance running will have events of 10, 21 and 42 km respectively. Whereas, basic cycling includes 5 to 10 km and advanced cycling 30, 50 and100 km respectively will be organized in cycling events and a yoga events will includes series of Suryanamaskar exercises. These events included Dr. Sunita Godara (Asian Marathon Queen), Shweta Maurya (Ultra Marathon Runner and Mrs. India 2019), Garima Shankar (Cyclone Leader, accomplished cyclist and marathoner), Sanjeev Tyagi (International Yoga Instructor), Gurleen Arora (Gurgaon Marathon Runner, Ultra runner and cyclist), Neeti Bansal (Punjab’s first female Ironman) will play the role of mentor.
