In OPD 350 patients checked up, 72 screened for operation

Ferozepur, December 19, 2021:  Lions Club Ferozepur and Lions Club Border jointly organised Free Eye Check-up Camp at Lions Bhawan, Ferozepur City.  Awareness about the camp was created through visuals, by the members in the various social groups.

A team of Eye Care Centre Jaitu headed by Dr.Vikas Kumar volunteered to run the camp and checked up.  After the registration, the patients were examined for common eye problems 350 patients in the OPD held from 10 am to 2 PM and as many as 72 patients were screened for cataract operation.  In the camp, free medicines were also distributed besides assurance for spectacles as per the recommendations.

Lion Pawan Giddeon, Project Chairman said, We enjoy this beautiful colourful world and thinking for those who are deprived of this facility due to damage of cataract, lion members have decided to organize a  eye check-up camp to screen for the operation of needy persons free of cost.

Lion Rajinder Duggal President informed that Lions Clubs are working in the service of needy people in the society by organising various camps.  The patients screened for operation will be transported to Jaitu next Sunday and the entire expenses will be borne by the Lions Clubs.

Number of club membeers Ashish Sharma, Gagandeep Jossan, Rohit Garg, Ashish Aggarwal, Deepak Gupta, Gopal Singla, Gursewak Singh, Sarabjit Singh, Pawan Giddeon, Col Ram Pal, Sat Pal Khera, Ashwani Sharma, Parwinder  Sodhi, Iqbal Chugh, Parvesh Kumar, Harish Monga and others were present.
