Ferozepur, January 8, 2024:   Rotary Club Ferozepur Cantt in collaboration with the Hunjan Educational and Welfare Society emphasized the significance of conducting psychometric testing for class 10th girl students properly and ethically.

DG Schools has ordered for a Psychometric test of 85,389 10th-class girl students in the state for which a grant of Rs.5,97,72,300 has been released to the schools to be spent by 15.1.24 and submitting a certificate by 31.1.2024.

To ensure that students receive reliable and accurate assessment results, during the event, Dr. Tarlochan Singh renowned psychologist and expert in psychometric testing stressed the crucial role of school authorities in verifying the credentials of testing agencies. He emphasized the importance of collaborating only with reputable and certified agencies, who follow ethical standards and maintain the privacy and confidentiality of students’ test results.

Furthermore, Dr Tarlochan Singh highlighted the significance of the qualifications and expertise possessed by the counsellors involved in administering the psychometric assessments. He urged the School heads to review and evaluate the qualifications and experience of the counsellors to ensure that they possess the necessary knowledge and skills to guide students effectively with the validity and standardization of testing tools used in psychometric assessments.

Dr. Tarlochan Singh also emphasized schools verifying the authenticity and reliability of these tools to measure students’ aptitude, personality, and career interests accurately. It was emphasized that standardized tools, with established norms and cultural appropriateness, should be adopted to ensure fair and unbiased results.

Vipul Narang, President and Rahul Kakkar Vice president of Rotary Club Ferozepur Cantt said the collaborative efforts of Hunjan Educational Society Ludhiana and Rotary Club Ferozepur Cantt, and expert psychologists aim to empower students in making informed decisions about their future educational and career trajectories.
