Gas cylinder explosion at Village Gatti Mastan near Ferozepur

Ferozepur, January 31: As per the information received, one person was reportedly injured in a cylinder blast took place at village Gatti Mastan under Mamdot block near Ferozepur today.

The incident took place at the residence of Gurdev Singh son of Fouja Singh when her wife Paramjit kaur was preparing the breakfast for her family. Suddenly she noticed that the cylinder pipe was catching the fire. Sensing the danger, she immediately ran out of the kitchen and as soon as she came out a huge explosion took place. The impact was highly destructive and damaging that all the expensive household items such as TV, refrigerator and few other things were gutted.

The news of the explosion spread like a wild fire in the village and all the villagers ran towards the spot. However, no major mishap occurred due to explosion. The fire brigade was called by the villagers to douse the fire.

One family member of the ill-fated family sustained major injuries and he was admitted to the civil hospital, Mamdot.

Er. DPS Kharbanda expressed his grief over the incident and said the treatment of the injured person will be bear by the administration and the best possible help shall be provided to the family.
