Ferozepur boys bags 9 Gold Medals in Punjab State Taekwondo Championship

Ferozepur, June 6, 2016 :  In the recently held Punjab State Taekwondo Championship at Amritsar, the Ferozepur boys excel in the competition bagging 9 gold, 1 silver and 9 bronze medals but failed to get winners’ trophy.

Added here, Taekwondo is a Korean martial art developeddurng 1940s and 1950s by various Korean martial artists combiningand incorporating the elements of Karate and Chinese Martial Arts.

In the championship, Sonia Kashyap,Tanvi Talwar, Jashandip Singh, Tejvir,Mankira, Dilpreet,Harsh Khosla got Gold Medals, Jashanpreet, Ishmit Singh,Rahul Dhawan, Jobanpreet bagged Silver Medalsand Arshdhir, Rohit,Anmoldeep, Uttambir Singh, Gurdev Singh, Rohit Preet,Manpreet, Aakash Mehra, Vansh Aroar got Bronze Medals.

Giving information, Pankaj Chaurasia said, the winners will also participate in the National Championship being held in July.
