Ferozepur, February 5, 2023: Despite instructions on misuse of stickers on vehicles, mystery shrouds an Army sticker pasted on a private car widely seen moving around near Indo-Pak border. Indian security agency, Border Security Force spotted a private car with Army sticker pasted at the windscreen.

As per the information, when the police parties were patrolling to keep an eye on suspicious nature persons, a telephone was received from Hari Ram Mehawal, Company Commander, BSF, Chowki Kasso Ke, that they have nabbed one suspicious person. On reaching the spot, one person identified as Pippal Singh of village Nihalewala with i-20 car bearing registration number HR-03S-7409, with Army sticker, handed over by the BSF, with recovery of 10 gm heroin and Indian currency with Rs.17,41,500 lakh. However, one person is reported to have escaped from the scene.

SP(D), Randhir Singh informed that further investigations are on, with special focus on movement of a car, written Army on it, near the border and recovery of Indian currency.

It is also added that the Ferozepur police, in its drive against the drugs, have also arrested six persons, in the district with 135 gm of heroin – 27 gm from Arjun of Mallanwala, 30 gm Gora of Makhu, 20 gm from Varinder of Mishriwala near Ferozepur, 10 gm from Akashdeep Singh of Ferozepur Cantt, 20 gm from Sonu of Ferozepur City, 25 gm Dharamvi Singh and 30 gm Dilbagh Singh of Mudki.
