Banned items recovered from jail, Warder booked
Ferozepur, July 29, 2021: A Jail Warder, Ashok Kumar has been booked under Prisons Act on the complaint of Assistant Superintendent, Satnam Singh on recovery of two mobiles and other banned items inside the jail.
This is not the first incident, when employee is involved in smuggling in of banned items, earlier also such cases have been booked. The involvement of an employee has raised a question mark on the security arrangements of the jail entry points.
As per the information, on Wednesday, during the checking on a tip-off, at tower number 1, one mobile Samsung touch Screen with battery and SIM Card, one pair of head phone, with blue tooth with packing box and one rope attached with plastic box with which the banned items can be dropped inside the jail was recovered from Ashok Kumar Warder. Later on, the almirah of the employee was also checked and 60 pink colour without brand tablets looked to the intoxicant and 3 tape rolls and one mobile Samsung key pad without SIM car was found.
Meanwhile, Jang Singh has been appointed as IO in this case and further investigations are on.
