भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) के जिला प्रधान _फिरोजपुर सर्बजीत सिंह बाठ ने आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) सरकार द्वारा सरकारी कर्मचारियों और पेंशनरों के लंबित महंगाई भत्ते (डीए) का भुगतान न किए जाने के विरोध में 27 अगस्त की ‘महा हड़ताल’ एवं सामूहिक आकस्मिक अवकाश के आह्वान का पूर्ण समर्थन किया है। भाजपा जिला के जिला अध्यक्ष सरबजीत सिंह बाठ ने कहा कि कर्मचारियों और पेंशनरों को बार-बार मांग उठाने के बावजूद उनका जायज़ बकाया नहीं दिया जा रहा, जिसके चलते उन्हें आंदोलन का रास्ता अपनाने के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ा है।
सर्बजीत सिंह बाठ ने कहा कि लंबित डीए के मामले में पंजाब सरकार अब किसी भी प्रकार के बहाने या प्रशासनिक अड़चनों का हवाला देकर अपनी जिम्मेदारी से नहीं बच सकती। उन्होंने कहा कि इस संबंध में न्यायपालिका भी अपना स्पष्ट रुख सामने रख चुकी है और राज्य सरकार को लंबित डीए जारी करने के निर्देश दिए जा चुके हैं। इसके बावजूद सरकार द्वारा कर्मचारियों और पेंशनरों के हितों की लगातार अनदेखी किया जाना बेहद दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है।
उन्होंने कहा कि पंजाब सरकार ने न्यायालय के फैसले के खिलाफ अपील भी की, लेकिन पहले के निर्णय को बरकरार रखा गया। इसके बावजूद सरकार द्वारा आदेशों का प्रभावी रूप से पालन न किया जाना गंभीर चिंता का विषय है।
_सर्बजीत सिंह बाठ ने कहा “जिन कर्मचारियों और पेंशनरों ने वर्षों तक पंजाब की सेवा की, उनके जायज़ वित्तीय अधिकारों के लिए उन्हें सड़कों पर उतरने और सामूहिक अवकाश लेने के लिए मजबूर करना भगवंत मान सरकार की असंवेदनशीलता को दर्शाता है। सरकार को कर्मचारियों की समस्याओं को टालने के बजाय तत्काल समाधान करना चाहिए।”
उन्होंने कहा कि न्यायालय के निर्देशों के अनुपालन में देरी के कारण सरकार को अवमानना की कार्यवाही का सामना करना पड़ रहा है, जो प्रदेश सरकार की कार्यप्रणाली पर गंभीर सवाल खड़े करता है।
सर्बजीत सिंह बाठ ने मांग की कि आप सरकार लंबित डीए का पूरा भुगतान बिना किसी और देरी के करे, न्यायालय के आदेशों का तत्काल पालन सुनिश्चित करे और कर्मचारियों एवं पेंशनरों को उनका जायज़ हक प्रदान करे। उन्होंने कहा कि आर्थिक सुरक्षा, सम्मान और न्याय कर्मचारियों एवं पेंशनरों का अधिकार है और भाजपा पंजाब उनके इस संघर्ष में पूरी तरह उनके साथ खड़ी है।

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District Ferozepur unit has extended its full support to the call for a ‘Maha Strike’ and mass casual leave by government employees and pensioners on August 27, in protest against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government’s failure to release their pending Dearness Allowance (DA). BJP District Ferozepur President Sarabjit singh said that despite repeatedly raising their demands, employees and pensioners continue to be denied their legitimate dues, leaving them with no option but to resort to protest.
Sarabjit singh said that the Punjab Government can no longer evade its responsibility by citing excuses or administrative difficulties in the matter of pending DA. He said that the judiciary has already made its position clear in the matter, and directions have been issued to the state government to release the pending DA. Despite this, the continued neglect of the interests of employees and pensioners by the government is highly unfortunate.
He said that the Punjab Government had also appealed against the court’s decision, but the earlier judgment was upheld. Despite this, the government’s failure to effectively comply with the court’s orders is a matter of serious concern.
Sarabjit singh said, “Forcing employees and pensioners who have served Punjab for years to take to the streets and go on mass casual leave for their legitimate financial rights reflects the insensitivity of the Bhagwant Mann government. Instead of delaying the grievances of employees, the government should resolve their issues immediately.”
He said that the delay in complying with the court’s directions has resulted in the government facing contempt of court proceedings, which raises serious questions about the functioning of the state government.
Sarabjit singh demanded that the AAP government release the entire pending DA without any further delay, ensure immediate compliance with the court’s orders, and provide employees and pensioners their legitimate dues.
