Railway cancels 12 trains, reschedules 2 due to yard remodelling
Ferozepur, October 29, 2025: Indian Railways has cancelled 12 long-distance trains and rescheduled 2 others owing to non-interlocking work at Durgapur station, linked to the commissioning of a new Electronic Interlocking (E.I.) Cabin and extensive yard remodelling. The disruptions will affect services originating from or terminating at major stations including Kolkata Terminal, Sealdah, Howrah Junction, and others, with cancellations spanning from October 31 to November 22, 2025.
Among the cancelled trains, the 12325 Kolkata Terminal–Nangal Dam Express is cancelled on its journey commencing November 20; its return, the 12326 Nangal Dam–Kolkata Terminal Express, stands cancelled on November 22. The 12329 Sealdah–Anand Vihar Terminal Express will not run on November 18, while the 12330 Anand Vihar Terminal–Sealdah Express is cancelled on November 19. The 12333 Howrah Junction–Prayagraj Rambag Express faces cancellation on four dates—November 19, 20, 21, and 22—with its return, the 12334 Prayagraj Rambag–Howrah Junction Express, cancelled on November 20, 21, and 22.
Further cancellations include the 12357 Kolkata Terminal–Amritsar Express on November 18 and the 12358 Amritsar–Kolkata Terminal Express on November 20. The 12353 Howrah Junction–Lalkua Junction Express is cancelled on October 31 and November 14, with the 12354 Lalkua Junction–Howrah Junction Express affected on November 1 and 15. Additionally, the 13167 Kolkata Terminal–Agra Cantt Junction Express will not operate on November 20, and the 13168 Agra Cantt Junction–Kolkata Terminal Express is cancelled on November 22.
In terms of rescheduling, the 12259 Sealdah–Bikaner Junction Duronto Express departing on November 23 will run 80 minutes late for one trip. Similarly, the 12313 Sealdah–New Delhi Rajdhani Express on the same date will be delayed by 80 minutes for one trip.
